Paradise Pie is a light, almond-sweetened marshmallow cream pie with a tropical flourish. This 1964 recipe is ready in no time for your summer shindig.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Mini-Marshmallows
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (or Whipping Cream)
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 Pre-Baked Pie Crust
  • 1 can Pineapple Slices (rings) (drained)
  • ½ cup Almonds
  • Maraschino Cherries

Instructions 

  • Whip heavy cream and almond extract together until high and fluffy.
  • Gently stir in marshmallows and spoon into pre-baked pie crust.
  • Arrange pineapple rings across top. Chill for 2-3 hours. Decorate with almonds and cherries before serving.

Suggestions

+ Add a cup of sweetened shredded coconut to the whipped filling

+ Garnish with shredded coconut (dye with food coloring for an extra retro food styling)
